Project Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at Dover Corporation. As a Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and configuring solutions based on customer-specific requirements and agreed specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and finalize Functional Specifications before starting design and configuration
  • Strategically execute the project engineering process and activities aligned with the agreed project plan
  • Perform in-house verification of configured solutions
  • Build Detailed Design Specification documentation required based on project deliverables
  • Handover of configured solutions for review and validation with Service Delivery Engineer
  • Creation and delivery of hand-off package for customer support
  • Support escalated installation, FAT, and SAT issues

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Software, Computer, or Automation)
  • Experience with packaging line equipment, preferably in pharmaceutical and/or food packaging industries
  • Proven track record of developing, testing, and installing solutions across multiple sites and/or countries
  • Proven track record of fault finding and problem-solving
  • Engineering background in PC systems, PLC knowledge a plus
  • Knowledgeable in packaging industry and supply chain automation
  • Experience in developing software solutions, able to test, install, and validate performance against project deliverables
  • Understanding of software development and service delivery methodology
  • Knowledge in AutoCAD, MS Visio, and flow documentation tools
  • Knowledge of electrical engineering concepts
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Acts in a professional manner and enhances customer satisfaction
  • Direct customer interface experience preferred
  • Documentation skills are a MUST

Travel:

The position involves approximately 10% of travel, on average, and includes domestic and international travel. This involves traveling to customer sites, possibly involving air travel. Initially, travel will be higher, 50%-75%, for the first few while in training.
