Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Sales Manager to join our team at Matsuura Machinery USA. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with distributors and customers, generating sales leads, and promoting our premium CNC machine tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish sales targets for distributors and help generate orders
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex challenges that exceed the scope of Matsuura distributors
  • Adhere to company guidelines for sales reporting activities, including tracking and updating leads, opportunities, accounts, contacts, and orders in our CRM system
  • Create awareness of Matsuura machine tools and participate in industry tradeshows to promote our products
  • Travel frequently to distributor and customer sites to monitor and assist with sales and orders, as well as provide training and support on Matsuura machines, controls, and software

Requirements

  • A 4-year engineering or business degree or equivalent job experience
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in the sales of sophisticated CNC machine tools
  • Experience with 5-axis and pallet pool solutions is a plus
  • Excellent technical, communication, and presentation skills, as well as the ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics
  • Basic understanding of part processing and ability to look at a part print and know which Matsuura model is the most likely solution for the customer
