Role Summary:

The Golf Merchandise Specialist is responsible for providing exceptional service to all members and visitors. This role requires a thorough understanding of the merchandise available in our retail outlets. The Specialist will ensure the store maintains a welcoming atmosphere by organizing products and assisting customers effectively. Additionally, the Specialist will support operational tasks such as inventory management and scheduling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome all guests with a friendly demeanor upon their arrival.
  • Assist in managing tee time reservations, including check-in and billing processes.
  • Provide knowledgeable support to customers in the retail environment, both in-person and via phone.
  • Actively promote and sell merchandise to meet sales objectives.
  • Collaborate with management to select and order inventory.
  • Receive and display merchandise while ensuring the retail area is well-stocked and visually appealing.
  • Facilitate the shipping of purchases for members and guests as needed.
  • Participate in regular inventory assessments.
  • Utilize inventory management software for tracking and reporting.
  • Handle customer returns and refunds professionally.
  • Foster positive relationships with guests and team members.
  • Attend scheduled meetings and training sessions to enhance skills.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a retail setting is preferred.
  • Background in hospitality is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Able to build and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Exhibit a professional and approachable attitude.

Physical Requirements:

  • Work primarily indoors in a controlled environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Capable of moving efficiently between various areas of the property.
  • Requires a range of physical activities including standing, walking, and manual dexterity.
  • Effective communication skills are essential for interaction with guests and colleagues.
  • Visual acuity is necessary for tasks involving close detail.
