Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic IV to join our facilities management team at Emory Healthcare. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the safe operation and maintenance of building facilities, with a focus on electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems, including HVAC, piping, and electrical wiring.
  • Conduct surveys and inventories of equipment and facilities to identify areas for improvement and optimize maintenance schedules.
  • Perform preventive maintenance activities, including routine inspections and repairs, to ensure the reliability and efficiency of equipment and systems.
  • Respond to customer complaints and repair equipment in a timely and professional manner.
  • Repair and adjust doors, windows, closures, panic devices, and locks as needed to maintain building security and appearance.
  • Patch holes, install escutcheons, and repair ceiling and floor tile as needed to maintain building appearance.
  • Maintain records and files, including data entry into computer systems, to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 9 years of experience in building maintenance, with a focus on electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, plant operations, structural, or general carpentry.
  • May require a valid Georgia driver's license and insurable driving record.
Work Environment

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent standing, walking, and lifting of objects up to 35 pounds. The work environment may involve exposure to blood-borne pathogens, bio-hazardous waste, chemicals, gases, fumes, and vapors. Personal protective equipment, including respirators, may be required.
