About Goldfish Swim School - Gowanus

We are a learn-to-swim facility for kids ages 4 months to 12 years. Our proven confidence-building curriculum promotes a love of swimming and teaches children to be safer in and around the water.

About the Role

As an Aquatic Safety Specialist, you will ensure the safety of patrons by preventing and responding to emergencies. This is a rewarding role that requires strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain constant surveillance of patrons and act immediately in emergency situations.
  • Communicate rules and regulations to patrons fairly and consistently.
  • Provide basic life support and treatment until medical help arrives.
  • Contact emergency services as needed.
  • Participate in cross-training and substitute when necessary.
Requirements
  • CPR and Lifeguard certifications.
  • Ability to work with children.
  • Prior leadership experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
