US Foods, Inc. is seeking a Senior Fleet Maintenance Technician to join our team in ensuring the smooth operation of our diesel fleet equipment. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining diesel tractors and trailers, while adhering to strict regulations.

About the Role

This is a hands-on position that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. You will work closely with other technicians, supervisors, and management to ensure the efficient operation of our fleet.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with diesel equipment, including tractors and trailers
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all fleet vehicles to ensure optimal performance and extend vehicle life
  • Document all repairs and maintenance activities in our Shop Fax system
  • Respond to road service calls and perform road rescue/transportation as needed
  • Work collaboratively with other technicians and supervisors to achieve shared goals and objectives
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial diesel mechanics or reefer repair
  • Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift up to 120-150 pounds and stand for long periods
