Diesel Mechanic Fleet Lead Specialist

US Foods, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic Fleet Lead to join our team. As a key member of our fleet maintenance department, you will be responsible for leading the troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of our fleet road equipment.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with commercial diesel mechanics, possessing strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills. They will also be able to demonstrate independent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as prior experience in administering appropriate preventive maintenance programs.
This role requires a strong ability to comply with EPA and OSHA regulations, read and understand technical and service manuals, and communicate effectively with coworkers and drivers. Additionally, the successful candidate will be able to manage multiple functions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
We offer a competitive salary, starting at $42,000 per year, based on experience. This estimate includes a base salary of $32/hour * 40 hours/week = $1,280/week * 52 weeks/year = $66,560/year, plus a $10,000 retention bonus and an annual tool allowance. Our benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, 401K, life insurance, and flexible scheduling options.
The successful candidate will work Sunday through Friday, 11pm-7:30am, and must be willing to work overtime when needed. If you are passionate about maintaining a clean and safe work environment, we encourage you to apply.
