Job Summary:
Lakeland Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join our team in the Surgery department. This position will provide care for pediatric patients and work closely with our medical staff to ensure the highest level of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care to pediatric patients, including interviews, health histories, physical and developmental assessments, and diagnoses.
- Manage patient care plans, including ordering diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and providing health education.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
- Participate in surgical first assist and pre- and post-operative management.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including medications, treatments, and procedures.
Requirements:
- Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- National Physician Assistant Certification within 90 days of employment.
- Florida licensure as a Physician Assistant (temporary or permanent) required upon hire.
- BLS certification required upon hire.
- Prior healthcare experience, particularly in pediatrics, is required.
