Job Summary
Essentia Health is seeking a skilled Recreational Therapist to join our team. As a Recreational Therapist, you will work with patients to develop and implement therapeutic recreation activities that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized recreation plans to meet the unique needs of patients
- Provide therapeutic recreation activities, including arts and crafts, music therapy, and outdoor recreation
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure patient-centered care
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and goals
- Document patient progress and outcomes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or ability to become certified within 6 months of hire
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
