The Crisis Response Clinician plays a vital role in providing immediate, person-centered support to individuals referred through the Compass Disaster Line and various community partners. This position involves assessing each person's needs and risk levels, as well as delivering clinically appropriate interventions and referrals. The clinician will represent the program in collaboration with other agencies to ensure that the needs of individuals are effectively met.

Regional travel is required to serve our Northeast region, including various counties. Mileage reimbursement will be provided for travel.

*This position is Part-Time, with shifts on Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver person-centered and trauma-informed services to individuals in need.
  • Conduct clinically appropriate crisis interventions and risk assessments through various platforms, including phone, video, and face-to-face interactions.
  • Perform Zero Suicide screenings and promptly identify each caller's needs.
  • Make follow-up calls or visits as necessary.
  • Maintain clear, timely, and effective communication with community partners.
  • Participate in monthly meetings and weekly clinical supervision with the Crisis Line Supervisor.
  • Achieve and maintain the agreed-upon level of productivity.
  • Provide culturally competent services tailored to the unique needs of each caller.
  • Stay informed about all services offered by Compass Health.
  • Be knowledgeable about other human and social service agencies for referral purposes when Compass cannot provide a service, and document such referrals.
  • Maintain client records in compliance with agency and state regulations.
  • Ensure all documentation is written in a proficient and professional manner.
  • Coordinate with the mobile outreach team as needed.
  • Collaborate with the caller's multidisciplinary treatment team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Flexibility with shifts may be required.
  • Assist with transportation as clinically indicated.

    Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in behavioral health is required if a Bachelor's degree is the highest level of education obtained.
  • Working knowledge of DSM-V is required.
  • A valid driver's license and agency-established minimum automobile coverage are required.

    Licensure/Certification:
  • QMHP Preferred.
  • PLPC, LMSW, LPC, LMFT, or LCSW Preferred.
