Position Overview: As a certified Radiologic Technologist within the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, you will be integral in facilitating cardiac catheterization interventions. Your role encompasses delivering exceptional imaging quality, operating fluoroscopic apparatus, and overseeing the archiving of images in accordance with departmental protocols. You will also provide assistance to cardiologists in a scrub capacity during various procedures and manage billing and data collection responsibilities.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Ensure a secure and hygienic work environment, complying with safety and infection control regulations.
  • Execute all duties associated with the Rad Tech - Cath Lab role.
  • Utilize imaging technology within the cardiac catheterization lab to guarantee optimal functionality.
  • Deliver high-caliber imaging and sequences to aid physicians in diagnostic and interventional tasks.
  • Coordinate communications within the lab, including managing pages, lab samples, and housekeeping requests.
  • Act as a Monitor Technician, tasked with acquiring and interpreting hemodynamic and electrophysiological data.
  • Update procedural modifications and prepare supply requisitions as necessary.
  • Support physicians as a scrub technician during diagnostic coronary arteriography and cardiac interventions.
  • Engage in ongoing education to maintain expertise in Radiographic, Monitor, and Scrub Technician functions.
Qualifications:
  • Preferred: A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a cardiac catheterization laboratory. Recent graduates from a Radiology Technology program or Radiation Technologists with at least five (5) years of recent experience will also be considered.
  • Licensure Required:
    • CRT (California Radiologic Technology Certificate)
    • CA Fluoroscopy Permit
    • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
  • Certifications Required:
    • Current BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) within six months of employment
    • Additional unit-specific certifications may be necessary.
