Position Overview:

The Finance Analyst is a key contributor responsible for supporting financial analysis initiatives by ensuring the implementation of effective financial procedures and practices. This role involves assisting in the development of budgets, business strategies, and financial assessments through comprehensive reporting and data management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee annual budgeting processes and associated forecasting.
  • Support analytical tasks within business units, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal controls, GAAP, and regulatory standards.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and economic developments.
  • Assist in resolving operational and tactical challenges.
  • Collaborate with Information Systems on financial systems-related requests and projects.
  • Monitor overhead costs and identify potential resource mismanagement.
  • Engage with global finance departments for collaboration.
  • May lead lean initiatives to enhance efficiency.
  • Address inquiries regarding departmental programs.
  • Partner with various departments to aid in budget creation and allocation.
  • Evaluate and navigate multiple systems containing financial data.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Science, or a related field.
  • CPA or CMA certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience demonstrating professional growth and success is preferred.
  • Familiarity with SAP FI/EWM/TMS, Business Objects, Business Intelligence, SQL Queries, AS400 is advantageous.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong understanding of technical, process, and business principles along with industry standards.
  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Adept at multitasking, prioritizing, and managing time efficiently.
  • High integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experienced in SAP.
  • Knowledgeable in GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.
