Job Description

A highly established local Mechanical Company is seeking a skilled Plumbing Project Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to take on a challenging role and contribute to the company's success.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate mechanical construction projects from conception to completion.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of project details, including materials, equipment, and labor requirements.
  • Ensure all project team members are informed and up-to-date on project information.
  • Plan and implement strategies to prevent problems and resolve emerging issues.
  • Estimate and sell projects of various types, including plan/spec, design/assist, and design/build.
  • Oversee the preparation of fabrication shop work packages and possess a strong understanding of content, including detail drawing review, material take-off, and man-hour fabrication budget.
  • Collaborate with the Safety Department to analyze, manage, and mitigate project risks, ensuring safety on each job site.
  • Ensure contractual conditions of performance are met.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in Plumbing Project Management.
  • Plumbing Journeyman License.
  • Commercial and Industrial experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree or demonstrated equivalent experience.
  • Strong analytical and logic skills with the ability to maintain a high degree of precision on detailed work.
  • Must have a stable background/work history to be considered for this position.
  • Proven working experience in Construction Management or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
  • Knowledge of HVAC and Piping Systems, building products, construction details/design, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Familiarity with construction management software packages and overall strong computer skills.
  • Proficient in P6 or Microsoft Project and able to provide examples of a project resource-loaded schedule that they have personally built.
  • Self-motivated with excellent time and project management skills.
  • Possesses a strong personal commitment for long-term and meaningful goals.
  • Ability to work within an environment with deadlines while having to multi-task with changing priorities.
  • Experience with estimating is a plus.
