Cultivation Associate/Grower Job Description

Job Summary:

The Cultivation Associate/Grower is a critical role at Ascend Cannabis Co., responsible for maintaining the quality and cleanliness of our cultivation facility. This position requires a strong attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the cultivation facility, including equipment and work areas.
  • Perform tasks related to plant growth and maintenance, including pruning, training, and harvesting.
  • Develop and adhere to standard operating procedures and quality standards to ensure crop success.
  • Ensure that the facility is operating and producing product that meets food safety and quality standards.
  • Handle, mix, and apply pesticides in a manner that is compliant with all WPS, CDA, EPA, and MED rules and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
  • At least 1 year cultivation experience preferred.
  • Ability to acquire MED badge prior to beginning employment.
  • Must be able to work in hot and humid conditions.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, crouch, reach, and lift for extended periods of time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Colorado marijuana laws, MED regulations, and CDPHE requirements.
  • Previous marijuana industry experience preferred, with priority given to candidates with experience in CO licensed facilities.
  • High-level critical thinking, attention to detail, mathematical, language, and reasoning skills.
