Job Description:

Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional looking for a challenging role in a dynamic company? We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team at Kratos Defense & Security Solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and consolidate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Establish and maintain internal controls to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Manage all aspects of the general ledger, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Provide monthly, quarterly, and year-end analyses to senior management.
  • Coordinate or assist with the budget process, including forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Research accounting issues to ensure compliance with GAAP and IFRS.
  • Analyze and report cost variances to identify areas for improvement.
  • Serve as a liaison to external auditors and provide support during the audit process.
  • Supervise accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general accountants.
  • Prepare and/or review ledger entries and reconciliations, including bank statements and credit card statements.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, and assist with regulatory reporting.
  • Project job cost accounting and provide accurate and timely financial information to management.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel.
  • Organized, accurate, and detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint or similar ERP systems is a plus.
