Job Summary

MPLX G&P Facility Project Engineering and Execution is seeking a Project Engineer to manage midstream crude oil and gas processing facility projects. The Project Engineer manages all aspects of assigned projects through engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with affected departments during project development to vet resource estimates, schedules, business benefits, environmental/health/safety impacts.
  • Facilitate project detailed design and technical reviews to ensure design meets corporate engineering standards.
  • Prepare decision support packages for review and approval by management.
  • Execute project construction and commissioning.
  • Manage, control, and communicate project performance to multi-discipline project teams.
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain in the development of a sourcing plan for engineering and execution.
  • Develop and implement risk response plan to monitor and control risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain accurate, thorough, and current project documentation.
Requirements
  • Minimum of Bachelor of Science in Engineering from a four year accredited college or university.
  • Minimum 5 - 7 years' professional experience with engineering, construction and/or Project Management.
  • Previous experience with hydrocarbon pipeline and/or gas processing design, fabrication, construction is a plus.
  • Previous experience with PSM covered assets is preferred.
  • Experience in crude gathering, crude stations and terminals is a plus.
  • Experience with PHMSA regulated pipelines and facilities is a plus.
