Facilities Project Manager

The Facilities Project Manager will oversee multiple construction and capital improvement projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and budget-friendly completion. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and manage multiple projects, acting as liaison between HCC and external personnel.
- Inspect and document project activities, preparing progress reports and participating in project meetings.
- Critically evaluate plans and specifications, making recommendations for changes and seeking approval from relevant parties.
- Develop and monitor project schedules, including design, review, and construction phases.
- Plan projects, securing necessary services and coordinating with HCC staff and external agencies.
- Manage project design and construction, overseeing design professionals and general contractors.
- Enforce HCC policies and regulations, ensuring compliance with safety standards and building codes.
- A four-year degree in construction, architecture, engineering, or a related field, with EHS and USDOT experience preferred.
- A two-year technical degree or equivalent, with a minimum of 5 years of commercial or relevant project management experience.
- Strong organizational and technical writing skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of Maryland state, Federal, and local building codes and life safety requirements.
- Computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
