Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Parking Meter Technician to join our team at SP+. As a Parking Meter Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that parking meters are maintained, cleaned, and repaired in a timely fashion, as well as assisting with parking enforcement duties as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install new and replacement on-street meters as needed.
  • Provide preventative maintenance for existing on-street meters.
  • Conduct daily checks of routes for damaged meters.
  • Respond to meter repair requests in a timely manner.
  • Assist with parking enforcement duties, including collecting and securing monies received through parking meters and other means.
  • Collaborate with event staff to ensure smooth parking operations for events.
  • Provide excellent customer service and interact with others in a courteous and tactful manner.
Requirements
  • Technical proficiency and knowledge of geography of the area.
  • Ability to operate a motorized vehicle and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions and lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Valid state-issued driver's license with a current address and acceptable driving record.
  • Availability to work special shifts, including 3rd shift and weekends, as required.
Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, including snow storms and extreme heat. Employees work in and around potentially dangerous traffic situations and must be safety conscious at all times.
