We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Residential Advisor to join our team at Adams and Associates, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing guidance and support to students in a residential setting, promoting positive relationships and a safe living environment.
Key Responsibilities- Student Guidance and Support: Provide guidance and support to students to ensure positive relationships and a safe living environment.
- Career Development: Assist students in achieving their career goals and objectives, and provide guidance on independent living skills.
- Unit Activities and Government: Participate in unit activities and government, and assist in the planning and implementation of events and programs.
- Dormitory Management: Patrol and monitor dormitories, and ensure the safety and well-being of students.
- Administrative Tasks: Prepare daily operations reports, pass lists, and other administrative correspondence.
- Supply Management: Recommend and requisition supplies to meet the needs of the dormitory and students.
- File Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date files for students and the dormitory.
- Case Notes and Reporting: Enter student case notes into the center information system, and prepare reports as required.
- Customer Service: Provide positive and quality customer service to students, staff, and other center customers.
- Zero Tolerance Policy: Support, promote, and enforce the Job Corps' Zero Tolerance Policy.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: A minimum of one-year Job Corps or related program experience required.
- Driver's License: A valid in-State Driver's License preferred.
The successful candidate will be required to sit, stand, climb, walk, lift, pull, and/or push, carry, reach, stoop, and crouch. The ability to lift 40 pounds and/or assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance is also required.
