As a Recreation Advisor at Phoenix Job Corps Center, you will be responsible for collaborating with the Recreation team to offer students a comprehensive and diverse recreation program. Your role will involve overseeing the recreation activities as per the approved schedule, with an emphasis on promoting health and wellness. You will play a vital role in helping students develop their personal growth, teamwork, and leadership skills through designing and implementing recreational programs. These programs will not only inspire and engage but also contribute to the overall development of our students. Responsibilities: Develop and implement a diverse range of recreational activities, including sports, fitness programs, outdoor adventures, and team-building exercises. Foster a positive and inclusive recreational environment that encourages personal growth, teamwork, and leadership skills. Provide mentorship and guidance to students, helping them develop social skills, self-confidence, and resilience. Collaborate with other departments to integrate recreational activities into the overall educational and vocational program. Monitor and assess the progress of students, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies for positive change. Maintain a safe and supportive environment for all participants, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and protocols. Follows all integrity guidelines and procedures and ensures no manipulation of student data. Assists with the supervision of a comprehensive and diverse recreation program. Coordinates recreation activities with CPP and Social Development to include evening programming. Coordinates recreation and leadership activities/programs with Center and local community resources. Ensures safe practices and program compliance within prescribed safety guidelines. Must possess a valid in-State Driver’s License and meet Company insurability requirements. CDL preferred. Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching.
