**Job Summary**
The Maintenance Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our Medina, Ohio facility. This individual will be responsible for managing, revising, and developing maintenance procedures to minimize equipment downtime and operational disruptions.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies and procedures to optimize equipment performance and reduce downtime.
- Supervise and manage a team of maintenance professionals to ensure all maintenance activities are performed efficiently and in compliance with safety standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities and equipment to identify areas for improvement and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage maintenance-related budgets to ensure cost efficiency while maintaining high standards of equipment and facility upkeep.
- Liaise with external contractors and suppliers to acquire high-quality services and materials for maintenance projects.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance procedures and reduce costs.
- Plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance work to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
- Ensure all maintenance work is documented according to internal and external requirements.
- Monitor the inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies to avoid delays in maintenance activities.
- Train and develop maintenance staff to enhance their skill sets and efficiency.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations involving equipment breakdowns to mitigate potential hazards or interruptions.
- Implement energy-saving measures and sustainability practices in maintenance operations.
**Requirements**
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or higher a plus.
- Must provide own tools required to perform job responsibilities.
- 10 years related manufacturing experience, preferably in liquid filling; acceptable industries: beverage, dairy, brewing, food, or other high-velocity consumer goods filling experience.
- Experience with chemical batching and/or filling lines.
- Electrical, Pneumatic, and Mechanical troubleshooting.
**Physical Requirements**
- Ability to work in a chemical manufacturing plant.
- Ability to execute strenuous, sometimes repetitive physical work such as climbing, lifting objects up above shoulder level weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time (at least 2 hours straight, four times in an 8-hour day).
- Able to work in extreme temperatures, indoors and out.
- Overtime will frequently be necessary.
