Job Overview

As an Automation Control Engineer, you will play a vital role in the design, development, installation, and maintenance of systems used to monitor and control various processes and machinery. Your expertise will span multiple applications, including industrial automation, cybersecurity, and building management systems. Proficiency in areas such as PLCs, SCADA systems, and instrumentation will empower you to devise and implement effective solutions to meet complex client requirements.

Design / Engineering Responsibilities

  • Create comprehensive design documentation for projects
  • Lead the programming efforts for automation and SCADA systems
  • Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and deployment of control systems
  • Perform routine maintenance and system upgrades

Managerial Duties

  • Conduct assessments and prepare cost estimates for projects
  • Delegate tasks to technical team members

Field Experience Requirements

  • Interpret electrical and control schematics
  • Initiate, configure, and calibrate control systems
  • Test and troubleshoot control systems effectively
  • Utilize industry-specific tools and software proficiently

Tools / Software Expertise

  • Familiarity with computer networking
  • Proficient in CAD/CAE software applications
  • Knowledge of standard office productivity software

Qualifications

  • Proficient in programming languages, including ladder logic
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Experienced in designing and programming PLCs or DDCs

Preferred Certifications

  • DBIA, CAP, EIT certifications
  • Certifications in PLC and SCADA platforms

Education / Experience Requirements

A Master's degree with 0-2 years of experience or a Bachelor's degree with 2-4 years of relevant experience.

Abilities

  • Comfortable working with computer screens for extended periods
  • Effective troubleshooting and communication skills
  • Willingness to attend in-person meetings with clients
