Job Title: Disassembly and Repair Mechanic

Flowserve Corporation is seeking a skilled Disassembly and Repair Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our repair shop, you will be responsible for the methodical teardown and documentation of rotating equipment received for repair.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work safely and effectively to disassemble and inspect rotating equipment, including pumps, compressors, and other high-energy equipment.
  • Accurately document disassembly and technical findings, using precision measuring instruments and other tools as needed.
  • Collaborate with site engineers to determine repair scope and develop repair plans.
  • Utilize cranes, lifting devices, and fork trucks to safely move equipment and components.
  • Comply with all Flowserve policies and procedures, including safety protocols and productivity standards.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • General mechanic skills, including turning a wrench and using ratchets.
  • Ability to read and interpret prints, shop drawings, and assembly checklists.
  • Basic computer aptitude to learn data entry systems and Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work overtime hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • 1+ years of general mechanical experience.
  • Certification of trade school training may be accepted in lieu of experience.
  • Knowledge of service environment activities, including DCI, machining, assembly, test, and field service for rotating equipment.
