- Directly supervise a team of 30-40 drivers, ensuring optimal route management and service delivery to uphold the highest standards of customer satisfaction and safety.
- Establish strong rapport with your team through principles of integrity and accountability.
- Effectively dispatch drivers and freight in compliance with company policies and federal regulations.
- Provide ongoing coaching on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), focusing on safety, performance metrics, and equipment upkeep.
- Collaborate with planners to adjust freight logistics and manage communication regarding changes.
- Address both internal and external customer inquiries through various communication channels to ensure seamless service.
- Guide your driver team towards achieving success and maintaining safety compliance.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to navigate the evolving landscape of the transportation industry.
- Oversee driver retention initiatives to maintain a stable and committed team.
- Work in partnership with drivers, planners, and customer service representatives to fulfill service expectations.
- Authorize driver compensation and manage the submission of driver bills of lading (BOL).
- Make informed decisions and provide effective solutions to driver-related challenges.
