Agriland FS is a leading provider of lawn care and sports turf services in the Des Moines metro and surrounding areas. We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Turf Care Sales Specialist to join our team.

Job Summary

The Turf Care Sales Specialist will be responsible for generating new sales leads, bidding on jobs, and providing professional lawn care recommendations to customers. This individual will work closely with the Turf Department Manager to ensure excellent customer service and will be expected to stay up-to-date on industry information to deliver problem-solving expertise to accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales and Business Development
    • Prioritize activities generating sales leads, turf recommendations, bids, and profitable business
    • Estimate application costs for customers and offer professional lawn care recommendations
  • Customer Service
    • Communicate well with Turf Department Manager to ensure excellent customer service
  • Operations and Administration
    • Follows all credit policies, accurately completes sales contracts and billing
    • Assists operations when necessary to prioritize the timely delivery of products and services
  • Professional Development
    • Stays current on industry information delivering problem-solving expertise to accounts

Requirements

  • Education and Experience
    • Prefer a minimum of a two-year turf or horticulture degree or experience in the turf industry
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent organizational skills with the experience meeting multiple deadlines
    • Excellent business and communication skills
    • Ability to work independently and with a team
    • Able to lift up to 75 pounds and stand, sit, crawl, climb, and reach difficult areas as job demands
    • Ability to pass all certification tests, obtain a CDL (we offer in-house training)
