POSITION OVERVIEW: The Clinical Operations Supervisor plays a vital role in supporting patients in addressing their biopsychosocial needs, guiding them towards achieving optimal emotional well-being. This position involves providing consultation, education, individual and group therapy, family therapy, crisis intervention, and necessary referrals. The Supervisor will oversee the performance of therapists, ensuring that all required documentation is completed accurately and punctually. In the absence of therapists due to illness or vacation, the Supervisor will also cover client care sessions and participate in treatment team meetings. Additionally, the Supervisor may contribute to the development of programs and treatment plans as clinically appropriate. Active participation in monthly chart audits and providing constructive feedback to supervisees is essential. The Supervisor will also assume the role of Department Director in the absence of the Director of Clinical Services.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: A Master's Degree from an accredited institution in social work or a related human services field is required. Candidates may hold licensure as a Marriage & Family Therapist, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, or Licensed Independent Social Worker. Independent licensure and approval for clinical supervision from the relevant Board are mandatory.
SKILLS: Proficiency in employee management, individual, family, and group therapies, as well as crisis intervention, is essential. Strong clinical assessment and organizational skills are required. Familiarity with community resources and the ability to connect patients with appropriate services is necessary. Successful completion of CPR (AED) certification and CPI training, including the proper use of seclusion and restraint, must be achieved within the first 90 days of employment, with competency demonstrated prior to engaging in any restraining processes. The ability to exhibit specialized training, knowledge, and skills relevant to various age groups, as well as job-specific competencies, must be established within the initial three months of training and annually thereafter.
