Job Title: QC Associate II - Microbiology

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented QC Associate II - Microbiology to join our team at Wacker Chemie AG. As a key member of our Quality Control team, you will be responsible for supporting routine environmental monitoring of air, surface, and clean utilities, as well as in-process and release testing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform analysis of environmental samples according to Standard Operating Procedures and Test Methods.
  • Routine environmental monitoring of air, surface, water, gas, and steam systems.
  • Documentation of results in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
  • Perform routine testing such as Bioburden, Endotoxin, TOC, and Conductivity with supervisor direction.
  • General lab support including housekeeping, equipment maintenance, inventory of supplies, etc.
  • Perform assay review and SOP revisions, achieved with assay competency with supervisor direction.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment and knowledge of aseptic technique preferred.
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-workload environment, and be able to manage multiple projects and objectives for on-time event closure.
  • Must work well on a team and be able to trouble-shoot and problem-solve in a cross-functional team setting. Must be proactive, action-oriented, and have the ability to adapt to change.
  • Must have strong communication skills both verbally and written.
  • Bachelor of Arts/Science in science-related discipline: Microbiology or other relevant science discipline.

The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in San Diego is $70,000 - $90,000. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc.
