About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Hospice Chaplain to join our team at SouthernCare New Beacon Hospice. As a Hospice Chaplain, you will play a vital role in providing spiritual support and care to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide spiritual support and care to patients and their families, including counseling, prayer, and ministry as needed.
  • Develop and implement individualized spiritual care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care team meetings to ensure comprehensive care planning.
  • Collaborate with community spiritual leaders to provide support and resources to patients and families.
  • Assist in training and education of hospice staff, volunteers, and community members on spiritual care and support.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in theology, counseling, or a related field, or a bachelor's degree with relevant experience and training.
  • At least two years of experience in spiritual care ministry, with a focus on hospice care.
  • One unit of Association of Clinical Pastoral Education, Inc. (ACPE)-accredited CPE, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
