Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of contract documents, including detailed plans and specifications.
- Conduct hydraulic flow and pressure calculations for pipelines.
- Perform pump sizing calculations and develop system curves.
- Provide engineering and design support for water and wastewater treatment processes.
- Prepare cost estimates for construction and design projects.
- Create project-specific specifications.
- Engage in the planning and design of water and wastewater pipelines, pumping stations, storage, and treatment systems.
- Learn and participate in project management, client relations, and business development for future initiatives.
- Conduct site visits during the design and construction phases to assess facilities.
- Review construction shop drawings and submittals to ensure compliance with design documents.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution or NCEES equivalent.
- Experience or coursework in water and wastewater systems is advantageous.
- Successful completion of the FE exam (EIT) or the ability to complete it within the first six months.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with other design disciplines.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Capacity to work independently.
- Proficient in both oral and written communication.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and ArcGIS is a plus.
- Active participation in professional organizations such as AWWA, WEF, ASCE is beneficial.
