Manufacturing Team Lead

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to join our team at Talent Masters. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our production team, ensuring that we meet our scheduled production requirements and maintain a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead by Example: Create an environment of continuous improvement and empower team members to contribute to that same culture of improvement.
- Technical Support: Interface with technical staff to ensure proper support and ensure that employees are properly trained in safety, quality, equipment operation, and 5S.
- Employee Relations: Serve as the first point of contact for employees regarding employee relations issues and establish annual goals and objectives that support the attainment of operating metrics.
- Process Improvement: Work to continuously improve processes and reduce inventories and work in progress, and interface with Union Stewards in contract and discipline issues.
- Leadership: Demonstrate a core value of respectful treatment of all team members in every discussion, interaction, and decision, and desire to eliminate waste and develop team member skills to improve lean operations.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Manufacturing Engineering, or Operations is preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in a medium/high volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Skills: Basic understanding of process control, production scheduling, Kaizen, Kanban, and Lean manufacturing is preferred, and experience with mechanical and hydraulic press operations, as well as a basic understanding of die set-up and maintenance would be beneficial.
- Software: Proficient with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel).
Position involves sitting long periods, standing, manual dexterity, stooping, bending, and minimal lifting.
