As a key member of our Timberland Division, you will be responsible for overseeing forest management and timberland marketing operations, ensuring the highest level of quality and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities- Operations: Plan and execute harvest operations, inventory/cruising work, and road construction/maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with company standards and certification protocols.
- Inventory: Collect and analyze field data, prepare cruise reports, and maintain accurate records of timber sales.
- Office Work: Develop and implement operational plans, manage project administration, and analyze data to inform business decisions.
- Bachelor's degree in Forestry from an SAF-accredited program.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in forestry operations, inventory, and management.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, with occasional overnight and multi-night travel.
- Knowledge of mixed northern hardwood, spruce-fir, and pine silviculture, as well as cruising and inventory skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and GPS/GIS software.
- A stable and respected organization with over 55 years of experience in forest management and timberland marketing.
