Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Office Assistant to join our team at SHMG Family Medicine Edgewater. As a Medical Office Assistant, you will play a vital role in managing the clinic patient schedule and ensuring the accuracy of health information management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-register, register, and check out patients according to established procedures.
  • Verify written physician orders for accuracy and completeness.
  • Verify insurance benefits and complete MSPQ as needed.
  • Collect co-pays, co-insurance, and payments on past due accounts.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Previous clerk, office, and/or administrative assistant work preferred.
  • Previous medical experience in a specialty clinic preferred.
