Role Summary

The Aviation Maintenance Technician will be responsible for conducting thorough repairs and scheduled maintenance on a variety of aircraft, ensuring compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations. This role is critical in maintaining the safety and functionality of our fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on aircraft.
  • Manage projects by accurately estimating time and materials for assigned tasks.
  • Analyze blueprints, drawings, and work orders to troubleshoot and repair aircraft components.
  • Ensure mechanical systems are in optimal condition prior to flight.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
  • Inspect aircraft parts for defects such as cracks or corrosion.
  • Lubricate joints and replace hoses as necessary.
  • Consult maintenance manuals to ensure adherence to operational specifications.
  • Install new parts to enhance aircraft performance or replace defective components.
  • Conduct tests to verify the functionality of engines and systems.
  • Identify and resolve mechanical issues based on inspections or reports.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Comprehensive knowledge of aircraft systems and mechanics.
  • Proficient in using tools and testing methods for aircraft maintenance.
  • Ability to interpret complex manuals and resolve mechanical challenges.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Excellent craftsmanship and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills for discussing equipment issues and completing reports.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and provide necessary identification.

Work Environment
  • Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and loud noise levels.
  • Potential for working in various weather conditions.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 75 pounds.
  • Capability to work in confined spaces and on ladders.
  • Visual and auditory acuity to inspect equipment and identify issues.
