ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Roadside Support Specialist will serve as the primary point of contact for drivers experiencing breakdowns on the road. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to multitask, and a customer-centric approach to ensure timely repairs and minimize downtime.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as the primary point of contact for drivers experiencing breakdowns, providing timely and effective support to resolve issues.
  • Analyze and authorize repair issues, using discretion to determine the best course of action for each situation.
  • Collaborate with drivers, repair shops, and internal departments to ensure seamless communication and efficient resolution of breakdowns.
  • Utilize software databases to locate qualified repair shops and facilitate communication between drivers and repair facilities.
  • Process payments for services rendered and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Perform various dispatch duties, including making contact with drivers after normal working hours and ensuring critical loads receive timely attention.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous maintenance and/or customer service experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of the trucking industry and equipment repair a plus.
