Paramedic Program Adjunct Instructor

Position Overview:
The Health Sciences Department provides comprehensive Paramedic courses through various delivery methods, including in-person instruction. As an adjunct instructor, your responsibilities will encompass teaching students, designing educational materials, evaluating student performance, engaging in program assessments, and upholding the standards set by both the College and the department. This role reports directly to the Head of the Health Sciences Department.
Essential Qualifications:
To qualify for a teaching position within the Paramedic program, candidates must possess an Associate degree in a relevant discipline, along with a minimum of two years of pertinent professional experience. Additionally, candidates must hold a current Florida certified Paramedic credential and an active ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) provider card. Preference will be given to those with instructor certifications in ACLS, PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), and/or BTLS (Basic Trauma Life Support).
Successful completion of a criminal background check is mandatory. Instructors should also be proficient in utilizing the technology required for their assigned courses.Supplemental Documentation:

Compensation:
Adjunct Faculty will receive hourly compensation based on their level of education, as follows: $31.00 for a Bachelor's Degree or lower, $34.00 for a Master's Degree, and $37.00 for a Doctorate.
Important Note:
This position is part of an open applicant pool, with hiring conducted by the department as needs arise.

Failure to meet these requirements will result in disqualification from employment consideration.
A background investigation approved by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) will be conducted for all successful candidates, and any applicant who does not disclose adverse information during the application process will be disqualified from employment.
