Job Summary

The University of West Florida is seeking qualified candidates to join our pool of adjunct faculty for teaching opportunities in the School of Nursing. As an adjunct instructor, you will have the opportunity to teach clinical courses to pre-licensure nursing students in acute care, pediatrics, and mental health settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach clinical courses to pre-licensure nursing students
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of academic programs
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nursing or related field
  • Experience in an acute care setting, pediatrics, or mental health nursing
  • Experience supervising pre-licensure students
  • Clear unencumbered Florida Nursing License
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching BSN pre-licensure students in the clinical setting
Working Conditions
  • Occasional and/or light lifting required
  • Limited exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, chemicals, etc.
Special Requirements
  • This position requires fingerprinting
  • This position requires a criminal background screen
  • This position requires licensure, certification, or other described in the Special Instructions
