Responsibilities:

  • Instruct students in Medical Assisting courses
  • Develop and implement curricula for Medical Assisting courses
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback
  • Participate in program evaluation and assessment
  • Maintain College and department standards

Requirements:

  • Must be an EKG technician, Paramedic, Registered Nurse, or Respiratory Therapist with 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Must have appropriate certifications/license and current BLS for health care providers
  • Must be able to use technology required for assigned course(s)
  • Must pass a criminal background check

Compensation:

Adjunct Faculty shall be paid on an hourly basis according to degree level as follows:

  • Bachelor's Degree or less: $27.00 per hour
  • Master's Degree: $29.00 per hour
  • Doctorate: $31.00 per hour

Notes:

  • This is an open applicant pool
  • Positions are filled by the department on an as needed basis
  • Pursuant to College policy, it is an employment eligibility requirement for an applicant to meet the requirements of § 1012.32, Florida Statutes, related to background investigations
