Job Summary

PharmaCann LLC, a leading cannabis-based products provider, is seeking a highly skilled Asset Protection Area Manager to join our rapidly growing team. As a key member of our security operations team, you will be responsible for protecting the profitability of the company through detection, identification, investigation, and reduction of shrink and compliance exposures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Security Operations: Monitor and review electronic surveillance systems, including access control and CCTV, as well as security alarm systems. Assist in the coordination of physical security programs, including alarms, CCTV, and access control.
  • Investigations and Compliance: Develop partnerships with law enforcement agencies and 3rd party contract security services to improve prosecution and restitution opportunities. Conduct internal investigations and interviews to identify operational failures and dishonest/unethical behavior.
  • Training and Development: Assist in the development of training programs for emergency preparedness and response. Provide onboarding and ongoing training to security team members.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Provide technical leadership and guidance to team members to ensure daily tasks, productivity levels, and goals are met. Collaborate with on-site leadership and human resources to identify and resolve rule infractions or violations committed by PharmaCann employees and partnering vendors.
  • Shrink Reduction and Compliance: Develop and implement a shrink reduction program to protect company assets and employees. Partner with IT to develop new ways to protect against scam and social engineering attempts.
Requirements
  • Education: High school degree or equivalent required; 2-year college degree or related coursework in criminal justice, risk management, or business preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in asset protection/loss prevention, with at least 1-2 years of investigations experience preferred.
  • Skills: Analytical capabilities, proven aptitude for learning new applications, and ability to perform independently with minimal supervision. Proficient knowledge of exception-based reporting, Microsoft Office, and Power BI.
  • Certifications: Wicklander-Zulawski certification preferred.
Working Conditions

This position requires regular and on-time attendance, with hours exceeding 40 hours per week. Occasional travel by conventional means to other locations is possible. Schedule will consist primarily of peak hours for location, but will require supporting overnight or late night shifts when needed.
