Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team at Cipla. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our facility's mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily maintenance and monitoring of equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate and repair a wide range of machinery and equipment, utilizing acquired knowledge, skills, and experience.
  • Prepare and execute maintenance and engineering procedures for all equipment, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the Facilities Maintenance Engineer to develop and implement maintenance schedules and plans.
  • Conduct regular inspections and monitoring of the facility's electrical and mechanical systems, identifying and addressing potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including equipment logs and repair histories.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge in areas such as electrical and mechanical systems, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Facilities Maintenance Engineer or other authorized personnel.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; accredited college certificate or university degree preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in mechanical maintenance and electrical work in an industrial setting.
  • Knowledge of facility plumbing, including domestic water systems and sewer systems.
  • Carpentry skills, including building walls and rooms, installing repairs, and finish drywall.
  • Proficient understanding of HVAC systems, electrical systems, and janitorial procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of boiler maintenance and operations, as well as plumbing, building maintenance, and building inspections.
  • Ability to work with high-voltage equipment, ensuring safety and precision.
  • Proficiency in understanding and applying all GMP guidelines and policies.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical machinery and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good knowledge of Health & Safety procedures, including OSHA.

Physical Requirements:

  • This position requires the ability to perform heavy lifting and bending frequently.
  • Exert an amount of force continuously and/or up to 5 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force rarely by utilizing a hand truck to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • Ability to perform repairs to parts or equipment that may require cutting, brazing, TIG/MIG, or stick welding.
  • Requires the ability to work indoors and outdoors, with flexibility to work extended hours as needed.
  • Must be physically capable of climbing ladders, working with hardware, working in a lying position, and working with arms extended overhead for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to wear appropriate PPE and use respiratory devices as required.
