Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician Lead to join our team at Shearer's Foods. This is a key role that will oversee the safe and efficient execution of all maintenance work, ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and monitor the activities of maintenance technicians to ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures.
  • Develop and implement maintenance improvement processes to improve overall equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Provide training and guidance to maintenance technicians on equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Coordinate and schedule maintenance work to minimize downtime and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of maintenance activities with production and quality control processes.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, schedules, and performance metrics.
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance principles, including preventative and predictive maintenance.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on maintenance and reliability.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of maintenance technicians.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex maintenance issues.
