We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Home Care Assistant to join our team at Rhythms Home Care Services. As a Home Care Assistant, you will provide personal care services to our clients in the comfort of their own homes.
Key Responsibilities- Observation and Maintenance: Ensure the safety and security of our clients by maintaining a safe and clean home environment.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals for our clients, and assist with feeding as needed.
- Housekeeping and Laundry: Provide housekeeping and laundry services to maintain a clean and comfortable living environment.
- Personal Care: Assist our clients with personal care needs, including bathing, oral care, hair care, nail care, medication reminders, incontinence care, transferring, dressing, undressing, and ambulation.
- Companionship: Provide companionship and social interaction to our clients, including conversation, emotional support, and mind-stimulating activities.
- Documentation: Document the services provided, including the date and times, and report any changes to your supervisor.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor, including CNA duties as defined by the Colorado Nurse Aide Practice Act.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 6 months of experience working in an adult day, healthcare, or home care environment that serves senior adults.
- Licensure: Colorado State Certified Nursing Assistant License, in standing.
- Transportation: Must possess a valid Colorado driver's license, current vehicle registration, and proof of insurance coverage, and a reliable automobile.
- Communication: Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language.
- Customer Service: Must possess excellent customer service skills.
- Physical Demands: Position requires medium-heavy physical work, including heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling objects up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up in excess of 45 pounds of force repeatedly to move objects.
- Environmental Factors: Exposure to blood-borne pathogens, body excretions, and communicable diseases.
- Interactions: Interacts with residents, family members, and visitors frequently.
