Job Summary

The Industrial Maintenance Technician IV will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance and efficiency of manufacturing equipment and machinery on the first shift. This position involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to minimize downtime and maintain production levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced maintenance and repair tasks on automated production systems, including setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Develop and implement modifications to automated systems to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Conduct tests to evaluate the performance of automated systems and identify areas for improvement.
  • Diagnose and repair complex electro-mechanical problems with manufacturing equipment, including electrical control circuits and motor control systems.
  • Perform detailed setup on equipment, including recipe changes and control adjustments, to ensure optimal performance.
  • Repair and maintain mechanical machine components to ensure they are in top operating condition.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Collaborate with other departments to improve processes and equipment reliability, and to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency gains.
  • Train and mentor junior technicians in advanced maintenance and repair techniques.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the maintenance team and ensure the smooth operation of manufacturing equipment.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in a related field, or equivalent relative experience.
  • 7-10 years' maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on electro-mechanical systems.
  • Ability to operate and maintain automated machines and systems, including programming languages and software applications.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Lock-Out, Tag-Out procedures, and electrical safety protocols.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift and move materials and equipment weighing up to 90 pounds, and heavier weights with the use of proper equipment.
  • Intermediate knowledge of fabrication, including welding and basic machining.
  • Ability to read printed materials, blueprints, schematics, and computer graphics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, vendors, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

The US base pay range for this full-time position is $21.50 per hour to $23.50 per hour, plus medical, dental, vision benefits starting day 1, and 401k and PTO. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
