Job Description

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician is a key member of the Industrial Trade Services team, responsible for performing a wide range of building maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work, to maintain the integrity of our buildings and equipment.
  • Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner, providing prompt service to tenants and ensuring minimal disruption to their daily activities.
  • Conduct regular inspections of buildings and equipment to identify potential issues and prevent costly repairs.
  • Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement maintenance schedules and plans to ensure optimal facility performance.
  • Operate a variety of tools and equipment, including power tools, hand tools, and specialized equipment, to complete maintenance tasks.
  • Participate in the emergency on-call rotation, providing after-hours support as needed to ensure the safety and security of our facilities.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in building maintenance or a related field.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve common goals.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact effectively with tenants and other stakeholders.
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy equipment and materials, as well as work at heights and in confined spaces.

Working Conditions:

The Maintenance Technician will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with frequent exposure to changing weather conditions, physical demands, and potential hazards. The ability to work safely and efficiently in a variety of settings is essential.
