This role involves executing a range of tasks to construct and assemble significant structural components, including fuselage sections and bulkheads, as well as subassemblies like rudders, flaps, and stabilizers. The technician will align components on jigs utilizing templates and fixtures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct minor fitting tasks such as filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments like micrometers and calipers to ensure accurate dimensions.
- Modify both incomplete and complete assemblies to integrate structural changes as required.
- Oversee and validate quality in accordance with statistical process controls or other regulatory procedures.
Qualifications:
- Seeking candidates with 4-6 years of experience in heavy structures.
Essential Skills:
- Proficient in drilling, reaming, countersinking, blending, cutting, fastener installation, and the use of measuring tools.
- Ability to read blueprints and apply sealing techniques.
