Title: Senior Transportation Supervisor

Position Overview:

This role is focused on overseeing the transportation operations within designated locations, ensuring effective leadership and coordination among teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Engagement:
    • Maintain optimal inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
    • Oversee the driver debriefing process, ensuring all customer transactions are documented accurately.
    • Uphold high standards of customer service, focusing on metrics such as timeliness and customer loyalty.
    • Build and nurture relationships with clients to facilitate open feedback on service quality.
    • Conduct site visits to assess service delivery and address any concerns.
  • Operational Efficiency:
    • Review and manage payroll to ensure efficient staffing and minimize unnecessary overtime.
    • Oversee the management of transportation assets, including vehicles and equipment.
  • Team Development:
    • Recruit, train, and develop a skilled workforce, emphasizing diversity and inclusion.
    • Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular evaluations.
    • Engage in field assessments to ensure safe and efficient operations by drivers.
    • Facilitate onboarding processes for new hires, ensuring compliance with all necessary documentation.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Monitor and input DOT hours, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
    • Communicate and enforce company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
    • Participate in safety committees and ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a related field.
  • Valid driver's license and familiarity with commercial vehicle operations preferred.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations, including DOT and OSHA.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including spreadsheets and word processing.
