Position Summary

As a Lead Front-End Software Engineer at Measured, you will serve as a hands-on technical leader, instrumental in architecting and developing the next generation of our web-based Marketing Analytics applications. Your role will involve creating and delivering user-focused products that are resilient, efficient, and crafted with modern user experiences in mind. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and data scientists to translate business requirements into technical designs, implementing them in partnership with other engineering teams. You will also engage in supporting customer escalations alongside customer success and support teams, emphasizing the importance of user interface experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the front-end development efforts for critical products or modules within a dynamic startup setting.
  • Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering teams to plan, build, and deliver exceptional user experiences.
  • Coordinate with all teams, including engineering, product, and customer success, to launch new client-facing products, feature enhancements, and resolve issues.
  • Take full ownership of timely delivery, ensuring technical excellence and quality in software outputs, while enhancing existing architecture through optimization or refactoring.
  • Create reusable code that is scalable, maintainable, and thoroughly documented.
  • Implement industry best practices for front-end development, focusing on accessibility, performance, and security.
  • Assist in resolving customer escalations, collaborating with customer success and support teams to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Thrive in an agile development environment characterized by a POD-based team structure and an OKR-driven delivery model.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to fellow front-end developers on the team.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in front-end development.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Proficient in multiple front-end languages and libraries, including HTML/CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery, and frameworks such as Angular, React, or VueJS.
  • Hands-on experience with languages such as Java, Kotlin, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Ruby, Perl, or PHP, with a willingness to learn additional languages.
  • Experience with RDS or Document-store databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, BigQuery, Redshift, or Snowflake.
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery tools, including AWS Kinesis, Lambda, ECS, or Airflow.
  • Preferred background in Marketing Analytics or analytics in general.
  • Previous experience in developing SaaS platforms and highly scalable, available production systems.
  • Adept at managing multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Experienced in writing unit tests and automated regression and integration tests.
  • Ability to understand and visualize end-to-end data flow within software applications.
