Job Description

Overview

The Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Program Financial Compliance Officer to join our team. As a key member of the International Grants and Contracts Department, you will be responsible for managing a global portfolio of sub-grants that support a broad agenda to promote healthy food and cardiovascular health policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Grants Management for the GHAI Cardiovascular Health Program: Collaborate with the Grants Department and GHAI Team to ensure grants align with high-level country strategies and contribute to the development and execution of country-level advocacy campaigns.
  • Oversee Portfolio of Growing Global GHAI CVH Sub-Grants: Carefully review, analyze, monitor, and evaluate progress of sub-grant proposals, contracts, work plans, budgets, and reports.
  • Provide ongoing sub-grant monitoring and programmatic/financial support to sub-grantees to ensure consistent progress, grant processing, and reporting.
  • Coordinate the grants negotiation and submission process and serve as the point person for new and renewal grants, in addition to sub-grant extensions.
  • Support organizational understanding of Grants Team core functions, challenges, contributions, accomplishments, and vision for more equitable partnerships.

Requirements

  • Five (5) years directly related experience working in an international grant-making organization on public health, health advocacy or policy advocacy campaigns.
  • Five (5) years of demonstrated experience with budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Five (5) years of experience working with international sub-grant programs, including at least one year of providing training in PFCO practices and policies.
  • Knowledge of one or more foreign languages.
