About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Handler Operator III to join our team at CEVA Logistics. As a key member of our warehouse operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe movement of materials and products within our facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external customers, providing timely communication and instruction as needed.
  • Lead and direct staff, prioritizing and assigning work to ensure seamless operations.
  • Operate forklifts and other equipment to move heavy and oversized pieces, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
  • Coordinate the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, tools, and equipment within assigned areas.
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequences.
  • Operate hand tools to close or open bales, build or tear down crates, and other containers or material.
  • Complete or verify forms, documents, labels, and other information to ensure inventory accuracy and successful receiving and/or delivery of goods.
  • Oversee warehouse maintenance tasks, identifying potential operational or service concerns and notifying appropriate colleagues.
  • Prepare and assemble orders, pick and count material, move and load materials between operations or trucks.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED; typically, at least five years of warehousing or related logistics experience.
  • Forklift Certification typically required within 3 to 6 months of hire; valid state-issued driver's license preferred.
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools, including hand truck, pallet jack, and related warehouse equipment.
  • Basic proficiency in Internet, web-based, and job-specific software applications.
  • Ability to become forklift certified, when required.
  • Ability to prioritize and assign work, provide training and guidance to staff, and respond promptly and professionally to customer needs.
