Controller Job Description

Beach Holidays, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Controller to lead our financial operations for three oceanfront resorts in Myrtle Beach, SC. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial management of our properties, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and maintaining a robust system of accounting records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and manage the activities of the accounting department, establishing priorities and goals.
  • Review and analyze monthly financial statements for all properties and operating entities, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Oversight of cash management activities, including cash flow analysis and forecasting.
  • Prepare special reports and analyses, collecting and summarizing data to inform business decisions.
  • Serve as a liaison with external CPA firms, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for accounting staff, promoting professional growth and excellence.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in senior-level accounting or finance management, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with a track record of success in team environments.
  • Master's degree in business, accounting, or a related field, with a CPA certification highly preferred.
