Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Bus Driver to transport students to and from school and related activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service and ensuring the safety of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a bus safely and efficiently, transporting students to and from school and related activities
  • Follow the Dallas ISD Driver Code of Conduct and maintain a clean and organized bus
  • Assist and instruct students in proper loading and unloading procedures
  • Report discipline problems to the transportation supervisor and principal
  • Cover routes and/or other runs as directed by the supervisor or dispatcher
  • Transport only authorized students and adult sponsors
Qualifications
  • Accredited High School Diploma or equivalent (U.S.A. equivalency) preferred
  • Texas Commercial Driver's License (Class A or B) with Passenger (P) and School (S) endorsements
  • Ability to pass U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) alcohol and drug tests and annual physical exam
  • Meet all state (TEA) qualifications for school bus drivers
  • Good judgment in decision-making and problem-solving
  • Ability to work effectively with others and communicate effectively
  • Punctual and reliable with a Type 3 driving record
